Table Tennis Challenge

There are about 20 of these tables in the basement of one of the sophomore men's dorm buildings... these two freshmen English majors challenged their profs to a game of doubles. No surprise to find they're quite skilled at the sport... we gave them a run for their money, dropping this one 22-20!

Spring Semester

Grace and I just completed week four in the Spring semester... teaching 8 classes apiece gives us little time for anything else!

We did make time to see some of our students perform at last night's chorus concert... ours is said to be one of the top two college choruses in Beijing, and they did not disappoint, singing in at least ten different languages!

Traveling as a Team

Once-a-month our team-of-six gets together with the teachers in our organization at the other schools in Beijing... this means an almost four hour (round-trip) commute for us.  It's nice when the crowds have dissipated like this evening (around 9:00)

Hands down, the hardest part about being in China is being thirteen time-zones away from our kids and extended family!

Our youngest turned 20 last Monday and is running for President of his college's student government association.

If you know anyone enrolled at Jacksonville University, please encourage him/her to vote for the sharpest sophomore composition major on campus... He promises to get that campus rockin'!
